Responsibilities
- Assist qualified plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Participate in welding activities as required for pipe fittings and repairs.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations.
- Carry out assembly work for plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Support heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic plumbing issues effectively.
- Strong basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites.
- A valid driving licence for commercial driving may be necessary depending on job requirements.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
