Responsibilities

• Assist qualified plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
• Participate in welding activities as required for pipe fittings and repairs.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations.
• Carry out assembly work for plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Support heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of plumbing principles is advantageous but not essential.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic plumbing issues effectively.
• Strong basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites.
• A valid driving licence for commercial driving may be necessary depending on job requirements.
