About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pakistani / South Asian Chef to join our kitchen team in Harrow. The ideal candidate will have strong experience preparing authentic Pakistani cuisine, excellent knowledge of traditional spices and cooking techniques, and the ability to deliver consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Pakistani and Afghani dishes, including curries, biryanis, kebabs, tandoori items, and traditional starters.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control meet our standards.
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene and safety in accordance with UK food safety regulations.
  • Assist in planning menus, creating specials, and ensuring consistency in recipes.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and support with ordering supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Pakistani Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Pakistani cuisine, spices, techniques, and regional flavours.
  • Ability to operate tandoor equipment and prepare tandoori items to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of UK food safety and kitchen hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time-management skills and the ability to handle pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (or be eligible).
