Hinkley Point C, Somerset

Long Term Opportunity

Mactech require a Plater Chargehand for long term work at Hinkley Point C, starting November 2025.

Main responsibilities will include overseeing all mechanical works related to the inspection, repair and maintenance of temporary void covers within the Turbine Building and will involve working with metal, plate, wood and grating.

Expected shift pattern will be 10/4, Tuesday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts.

Suitable candidates must be able to evidence:

Level 3 NVQ / ACE / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in Plating / Fabrication

LATS or SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely

CCNSG Safety Passport

ECSA Rates Apply:

Basic: £29.37

OT1: £41.12

OT2: £52.87

Bonus Potential (10%): £2.94

Lodge Allowance: £50.81 per night / £355.67 per week

Periodic Travel: Return Rail Fare & Travel Time

Daily Travel Allowance: Radius and/or Bus Fare

Holidays: 25 Days Annual + Bank Hols
