MetalBear is building the next generation of developer tools for cloud engineers. Our flagship product, mirrord, lets developers run local processes as if they were running directly inside their cloud environment - without the friction of deployment or risk of breaking shared environments.

mirrord's open-source core is already trusted by thousands of developers worldwide, and our paid product is generating meaningful revenue, including from Fortune 500 companies. We're scaling quickly and looking for an experienced frontend-focused full stack developer to help us push mirrord's user experience to the next level.

This is a rare chance to build developer-facing interfaces that make complex cloud workflows feel simple and fast, in a small, senior team that values autonomy and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build rich, performant web interfaces for the mirrord platform.
  • Lead frontend architecture, shaping the UX and technical direction of our user-facing components.
  • Implement new product features end-to-end - primarily frontend, but occasionally backend as needed.
  • Collaborate with Rust backend engineers to define APIs and data flows.
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer, with strong emphasis on frontend development.
  • Deep experience with TypeScript and React.
  • Solid understanding of modern web tooling and application architecture.
  • Experience with Rust.
  • Product-minded and comfortable owning user-facing experiences end-to-end.
  • Based within UTC+0 to UTC+4.UTC

Nice to Have

  • Experience building VS Code / JetBrains extensions or browser extensions.
  • Experience with Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
