Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our catering and restaurant services.

Responsibilities

  • Support food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies for cooking
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure efficient workflow
  • Support catering events by setting up and clearing away serving areas as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Food safety certification or willingness to undertake relevant training is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£17.68 per hour
