London SE EH, United Kingdom NHS Full time £60,000 - £90,000 per year

Are you a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with experience working with children and families? Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and specialist environment?

We are seeking a Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic inpatient paediatric occupational therapy Team. This is a 6-month, 1.0 WTE fixed-term post, with responsibilities across the acute wards at Evelina London Children's Hospital.

This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a close-knit team delivering high-quality, family-centred occupational therapy for babies, children, and young people with complex medical needs.

In this role, you will work within the various ward environments across the children's hospital. You will assess infant and child development and occupational performance, working collaboratively with families to set meaningful goals and deliver early, individualised interventions. You will also provide assessment and intervention to a paediatric neurorehabilitation caseload.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing assessment, surveillance and intervention for a mixed caseload of infants and children.

Supporting safe transition and referral to community services to ensure continuity of care.

Working as an autonomous practitioner while closely integrated within the multidisciplinary inpatient teams.

You will be supported with regular supervision from a senior therapist based at Evelina London and further guidance from a Clinical Lead Paediatric OT and Head of Paediatric Occupational Therapy.

We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive team, offering a culture of ongoing professional development and learning. Alongside a focus on clinical excellence, ongoing improvement and innovation. Our team wellbeing is also prioritised with regular opportunities to participate in social activities, team events and reflective practice. We offer opportunities to participate in departmental audits, service improvement projects or research projects. We have a monthly professional development programme for all staff.

Please see attached job description and person specification documents for details regarding main responsibilities.

Please note: funding for this post is for 6 months only starting 1st October 2025 and ends 31st March 2026
