Unique School Solutions is supporting a friendly and inclusive infant school in the S10 area of Sheffield to recruit a SEND EYFS/Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to start ASAP on a full-time basis.
Initially, this role will be long-term temporary; there is the opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate with the school, following a successful probation period.

The Role
- Supporting children with an Educational Health Care Plan (ECHP) within a small and bespoke specialist provision within school
- Working under the direction of the teacher
- Providing personalised support and learning to children with SEND
- Working as part of a close-knit team
- High-quality professional development and support
Essential Requirements For The Role
- Minimum Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) Early Years
- Previous experience of working with children with SEND
- Previous experience of working with children with a range of needs including Autism and speech and language difficulties
- Be prepared to support children's physical needs including supporting toileting, changing nappies and feeding children
- Have a good understanding of how the fundamentals of reading, writing and maths develop in EYFS and KS1
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to use own initiative
- The ability to build rapport with young learners
- The ability to use own initiative and work with other support staff
- The ability to work 1:1 and support small groups with learning
