Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry. A keen interest in a catering career would be advantageous for this roll and a stepping stone into the hospitality world. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Weekly pay and generous tips included, evening and weekend work required. Immediate start available. Must be 16 or over.

Duties

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
  • Maintaining health and safety standards throughout the kitchen environment
  • Supporting the serving team during busy periods as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions diligently
