Calling all qualified childcare staff

We are seeking some dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our team at Ivy House Thames Ditton.

The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Our Nursery Practitioners work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are maintained.

We have options of both full time and part time available and we also have Bank staff options for those looking for flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's learning and development in line with early childhood education principles
  • Supervise children during play, meals, rest periods, and organised activities
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
  • Lead and support team members to ensure smooth daily operations within the nursery
  • Organise and manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and educational activities
  • Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with nursery policies
  • Assist in the organisation of staff rotas and resource management
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices through feedback and professional development

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and childcare regulations
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is a must
  • Experience with managing behaviour and supporting individual needs of children
  • Passionate about child development with a caring and professional attitude
