**Job Title: Lithium Battery Repair Production Operative**

OVERVIEW:

As a Lithium Battery Repair Operative, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of lithium-ion batteries. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, fine motor skills, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of battery technology and safety protocols (in house training will be given)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. **Battery Inspection and Diagnostics:** Perform thorough inspections of lithium-ion batteries to identify any defects, damages, or malfunctions. Utilise diagnostic tools and techniques to assess battery health and performance.

  2. **Repair and Maintenance:** Execute repair procedures to address identified issues with lithium batteries, including parts replacement, soldering, and wiring repairs. Follow standardized repair protocols and safety guidelines to ensure proper handling of lithium-ion batteries.

  3. **Testing and Quality Assurance:** Conduct comprehensive testing procedures post-repair to validate battery functionality and safety. Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee repaired batteries meet performance standards and comply with safety regulations.

  4. **Documentation and Reporting:** Maintain detailed records of all repair activities, including diagnostic findings, repair procedures performed, and testing results. Generate reports documenting the status of repaired batteries and any recommendations for improvement.

  5. **Safety Compliance:** Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines for handling lithium-ion batteries to mitigate the risk of accidents or incidents. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements pertaining to battery repair and maintenance.

  6. **Collaboration:** Collaborate with colleagues in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control departments to exchange insights and best practices for battery repair and maintenance. Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of repair processes and procedures.

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS (IN HOUSE TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN)

  1. **Technical Expertise:** Proficient understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, including knowledge of battery chemistry, electrical systems, and components. Not essential, in house training will be given.

  2. **Experience:** Prior experience in battery repair, electronics repair, or a related field is preferred. Experience with power tools, soldering, circuitry, and diagnostic tools is highly desirable but not essential.

  3. **Problem-Solving Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot battery issues effectively. Ability to develop innovative solutions to repair challenges.

  4. **Attention to Detail:** Exceptional attention to detail to perform accurate inspections, repairs, and testing of lithium batteries. Ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.

  5. **Safety Consciousness:** Deep commitment to safety protocols and guidelines for handling lithium-ion batteries. Familiarity with safety measures to prevent thermal runaway, short circuits, and other potential hazards.

  6. **Communication Skills:** Good verbal and written communication skills to document repair activities, communicate findings, and collaborate effectively with team members.

  7. **Computer skills** MUST be computer literate. Confident with Google Docs/Microsoft, have the ability to use and create spreadsheets and be able to write clear precise processes/SOPs.

Salary – Starting on £12.79 per hour

Hours – 38 Hours Per Week

Days of work – Monday to Thursday

Shift Times - Mon - Thurs 07:00 – 17:00
