Contract Manager

Location: Field based with access to Newark

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:

As a Contract Manager, you'll take ownership of project delivery, client relationships, and team performance, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan and coordinate works, managing teams and subcontractors while maintaining accurate project records.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships through regular communication, ensuring expectations are met and opportunities identified.
  • Business Development: Work with the Business Development team to secure new projects and grow existing client partnerships.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, costings, and invoicing to ensure projects remain profitable and compliant.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain high safety standards, ensure training and certifications are up to date, and oversee equipment maintenance.
  • Leadership: Lead and support your team, providing clear direction, development, and effective day-to-day management.
  • Reporting: Keep data and documentation accurate, up to date, and shared across the business.

What we're looking for:

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • NPTC: Units 201, 202, and 203 (Chainsaw maintenance, crosscutting, and fell and process trees up to 380mm)
  • First aid and forestry
  • PTS
  • SSSTS
  • Highways passport
  • Full driving licence

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • SMSTS
  • IOSH – managing safely
  • Must be able to work away from home from time to time.
