Role: Plant Fitter

Location: Newton Abbot

Salary: £40,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, flexible) or Part-time (hours to be discussed)

At ADS, we're seeking a dedicated Plant Fitter to join our team. This is a key role supporting our Drillers, ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest standard to minimise downtime, maintain safety, and ensure routine checks are completed both in the workshop and on site.

What you will be doing?

  • Carrying out routine preventative maintenance on drill rigs, generators, and other plant equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Attend site breakdowns and provide technical support to operators.
  • Order and replace parts, including welding/fabrication where required.
  • Developing and maintaining planned service schedules
  • Assisting with LOLER inspections on site and at the yard
  • Maintaining adequate supplies of parts and consumables for both van and yard

What we're looking for

  • Full UK Driving License, Category B (Car) but Category C1 is desirable.
  • CSCS Card
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • If full-time 40 hour per week, with flexibility if working away/working Saturdays.
