Job Summary

We are seeking a caring and responsible assistant to provide attentive childcare for families. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and capable of creating a safe and engaging environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to support children's development while working in a flexible and rewarding setting. Fluency in English is essential.

TERM TIME ONLY

Duties

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, dressing, and nap times
  • Support children's educational activities, including teaching basic skills if needed
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary requirements
  • Drive children to school, activities, or appointments as required
  • Maintain a clean and organised play area and children's belongings
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and behaviour of key children.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to children during their daily routines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or babysitting roles
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of child development principles
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to teach basic skills and support educational activities
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
  • Ability to adapt to different family routines and children's needs

valid enhanced dbs is a must.

paediatric first aid advantageous but can be arranged if not available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: £12.42-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
