Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to effectively.

Duties

  • Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Operate and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring all footage is recorded and stored according to company policies.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and reporting findings as necessary.
  • Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals on site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to enhance security measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues immediately.
  • Engage with staff and visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and ensure the integrity of assets.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial; certification is a plus.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and interaction with others.
