Senior Network Engineer – Network Transformation Projects (Central London)
Roc Technologies is growing — and we're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Transformation Services team. If you're passionate about delivering cutting-edge LAN, wireless, and security solutions that make a tangible impact for public sector clients, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work within a collaborative, expert-driven environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in implementing and testing large-scale network transformation projects — initially focused on a Local Government and Police Network Transformation Programme in Central London.
You will:
- Support implementation and deployment planning for campus-based LAN and wireless environments.
- Develop test strategies and scripts to validate new network solutions.
- Contribute to low-level designs following discovery phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including project managers, service leads, and customers — to ensure successful delivery and high satisfaction.
- Perform pre-staging, configuration, and deployment of network components.
- Document "as-built" solutions and transition projects into operational support.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience implementing LAN and wireless technologies in enterprise or campus environments.
- Strong experience with Juniper, HPE, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Working knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Understanding of change control processes and technical documentation.
- Up-to-date networking accreditations (Juniper, Aruba, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
- Accreditation in Juniper (JNCIA / Mist), Aruba ClearPass, or firewall vendors.
- Experience supporting project transition into live operations.
- Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and perimeter security.
- SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
Why Roc Technologies?
We take pride in delivering solutions that truly transform the way our clients work, and we invest in the growth and wellbeing of our people.
Join us and be part of a team that combines technical expertise with purpose — delivering innovation that makes a real-world difference.
Our Benefits:
- Enhanced holiday allowance – 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Holiday Purchase Scheme – option to buy up to 10 additional days each year.
- Enhanced Employer Pension Contributions – 5% employer contribution.
- Private Medical Cover with BUPA.
- EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
- Enhanced Family-Friendly Policies.
Please note, all candidates must be eligible to go through SC Clearance.
