A-Team Academy is looking for a competent Primary tutor that can tutor in BOTH English & Maths up to Year 6 and 11+ level (this will be assessed at the interview). Must have experience in having taught both Maths & English (this is a MUST). Our students are very diverse in ability and will require support for both subjects and thereby we are seeking someone who has experience in being able to spot learning gaps, diagnose learning difficulties and also implement a programme in supporting students. Ages will vary from 5-11.

We offer our Tutors highly rewarding assignments which are challenging and fulfilling whilst providing flexibility and professional support to ensure your success. This role would suit individuals that have taught before and thereby experience is paramount for this role. We are looking to fill this role immediately. Kindly note that we are seeking someone who is experienced and can manage themselves.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Delivering tutoring sessions face to face within our centres (based in Olympic House, Clements Road, Ilford)

· Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet your student's academic needs and goals.

· Be available to attend work on Sun 10am-2pm

· Clarifying and teaching subject content.

· Assessing and reporting on students' knowledge on a regular basis.

· Being a mentor to students.

· Ensuring the safeguarding of students you work with.

Qualifications and Skills

Our ideal Tutor:

· is a qualified Teacher or an experienced Tutor in primary education.

· Has good knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum as well as the 11+ national tests for Ilford/Essex area.

· Must have previous Teaching or Tutoring experience in the primary sector.

· Care about helping their students improve and achieve academically.

· Have excellent communication skills.

· Are flexible, organised and reliable.

· Have access to own transport or public transport to travel to our centres.

Key Requirements:

· Outstanding record of academic achievement.

· Ideally a graduate in their field of study.

· Experienced in delivering face to face tuition at our centre.

· Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people.

· Able to work weekdays and/or weekends (during term time)

· Passionate about coaching and mentoring others.

· DBS certification

Job Type: Part-time
