Are you currently working as a Merchandising Assistant, or Assistant Merchandiser and you're looking to broaden your experience, and take on greater responsibility?

We are searching for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our superb Merchandising team. This is a key role supporting the planning, trading, and optimisation of ranges, ensuring that stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales and profit. Having the opportunity to take ownership of smaller categories, work closely with suppliers across the UK and overseas, and play a vital part in delivering our seasonal and core product strategies will form part of your development into Merchandising.

We are looking for someone with Merchandising experience as they will be managing and training other colleagues.

Key duties and responsibilities included within this role:

Stock & Product to Maximise Availability

  • Works towards key KPIs; margin, stock and OTB.
  • Overseeing trade performance daily, highlighting risks and opportunity to Merchandiser.
  • Works with Merchandising and Product to manage the production planning of key and core lines.

  • Transfer orders to ensure stock is best placed across the business primarily between our warehouses in the UK, China and Vietnam

  • Updating and reforecasting line cards weekly, proposing continuity and seasonal trade repeats to Merchandiser.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparation of accurate and on time reports for key meetings such as Sign off and Lessons learnt.

  • Assist in producing Range Review/Strategy Packs – reviewing performance and building future product offer.

  • Takes responsibility for 1 or 2 smaller categories from planning through to trading.

Support & Communication

  • Establish and develop close working relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure objectives are met.
  • Become a key contact on the department for Merchandising across Marketing, Finance and Suppliers.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Merchandising Assistants, supporting their growth and performance.

It is essential that you have, and can demonstrate the following:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, confident in building and owning various Merch reports.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in Merchandising
  • Highly numerical and analytical mindset
  • Experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or Senior Merchandising Assistant.
  • Experience using PBI system desirable.

Please note that this is a hybrid-working role and you will be expected to spend a minimum of 2 days per week in our London HO with occasional travel to our Norwich Office.
