Samples and Applications Technician

Location: Bedfordshire

Hours: Mon-Fri days

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

£26k - £28k

Whether it's blending a new sample, keeping the lab stocked, or figuring out how to get a tricky dispatch out the door – you're someone who solves problems before they become issues.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a busy, collaborative R&D environment. You'll be part of the team that brings food innovation to life – supporting product development by preparing, packing, and dispatching samples for customers and internal testing.

It's not just about following a method – it's about making sure everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork.

What you'll be doing:

  • Making it happen – creating samples, accurately and consistently
  • Packing and dispatching – getting samples to customers quickly and safely via courier systems
  • Stock management – ordering ingredients, rotating stock, and keeping the lab fully supplied
  • Supporting the team – helping Development Technologists and Chefs with trials and presentations
  • Maintaining hygiene – cleaning equipment and keeping the lab spotless and safe
  • Problem-solving – spotting issues early and keeping everything running smoothly
