Job Summary

At our Leeds branch, we are currently recruiting for the following role:

Warehouse Operative/Labourer.

We are looking for a confident and motivated individual to join our internal warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be approachable and friendly. Good interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

In this position, you will play a key role in the development of the branch and the efficient distribution of our full range of carpet & flooring products. The successful candidate will be capable of working in a dynamic environment, on their own initiative, as part of a small team. A keen eye for detail is necessary, as is a willingness to be flexible, and experience of safe manual handling procedures.

Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturday Mornings (overtime paid).

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Dealing with customers face to face, giving excellent customer service
  • Handling, managing & processing stock lines
  • Operating processing and access machinery (training supplied)
  • Picking, packing and processing orders accurately and on time
  • Taking a proactive approach to stock management & housekeeping
  • Careful loading/unloading of our own and others' vehicles
  • Possible need for occasional driving of van for local deliveries

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 1 years warehouse/distribution experience
  • Current counter balance and reach fork lift truck qualifications
  • Confident when dealing with customers
  • The ability to build great customer relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • Good standard of general literacy & numeracy, including basic computer skills
  • Clean full driving licence
