Data Analyst Coach
If you can explain VLOOKUPs without causing panic, write SQL without scaring people, and turn messy data into clear stories, this role is for you.
We are looking for a Data Analyst Coach to train the next wave of analysts who understand data, communication and real problem solving. If you want a role with impact, autonomy and the chance to shape applied learning in a modern startup, you'll love it here.
About iO-Sphere
iO-Sphere is one of the fastest-growing training providers in the Data & AI space. We train learners using Prism, our synthetic e-commerce company with 500m+ rows of live data, giving them real industry experience from day one.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and management of a 15-month technical apprenticeship programme.
Apprenticeship Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all teaching and assessment aligns directly with the mandatory Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard for Data Analyst.
- Deliver and assess content that prepares apprentices for the nationally recognised apprenticeship.
- Maintain an active record of learner evidence, providing clear feedback and direction for learning. Regularly meet with learners and managers to check progress and relevant application within the work place.
Programme Delivery and Instruction
- Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons, workshops, and coaching sessions, managing approximately 25-30 hours of student-facing time per week.
- Oversee and guide apprentices through the execution of large-scale, industry-relevant projects inside our synthetic company, Prism.
- Prepare apprentices thoroughly for their final End-Point Assessment (EPA).
Mentorship and Learner Success
- Provide personalised, ongoing coaching focusing critically on technical mastery and the essential soft skills: curiosity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and compelling storytelling.
- Regularly assess apprentice performance, provide detailed, constructive feedback on code and analysis, and ensure high retention and success rates.
You'll Succeed Here If You Have
- Hands-on industry experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Insight Analyst or similar
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL and data visualisation (Power BI preferred)
- Confidence explaining technical concepts to non-technical learners
- Experience coaching, tutoring or mentoring adults (ideal not required)
- A talent for breaking down complexity so others can understand it
- Teaching or assessment qualifications useful but not essential
Your First 90 Days
- Deliver your data analytics pathway independently
- Run your first Prism-based data projects
- Establish a coaching rhythm that builds momentum and confidence
- Prepare apprentices for structured assessments and EPA
- Build strong learner relationships that support progression
Why iO-Sphere?
This is not a traditional data training job. You will:
- Teach analysis inside a synthetic company with real, messy, business-grade data
- Shape the future of applied learning in data analytics
- Influence curriculum, coaching methods and learner experience
- Work in a startup where good ideas actually get implemented
- Join a mission-led team committed to widening access to high-growth digital careers
