Duties

  • Design and deliver comprehensive gymnastics training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels, emphasizing proper technique and safety protocols.
  • Motivate students through energetic coaching methods that encourage participation, perseverance, and enjoyment of the sport.
  • Demonstrate gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam routines, vaulting, and floor exercises, providing clear instructions and constructive feedback.
  • Monitor participants closely during activities to ensure safety standards are maintained; implement behavior management strategies to foster respectful and focused class environments.
  • Organize and supervise warm-up activities, stretching routines, and cool-down periods to prevent injuries and promote flexibility.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to plan seasonal programs, special events, competitions, or showcases that highlight student achievements.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and safety documentation for all classes.
  • Engage with parents or guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns or questions regarding training or safety procedures.

Experience

  • Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education, preferably with a focus on gymnastics or related disciplines such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (e.g., Judo or Karate), swimming, or basketball.
  • Lifeguard experience is highly desirable to demonstrate water safety awareness applicable in aquatic or multi-sport environments.
  • Background working with children or students in educational or recreational settings; ability to manage diverse behaviors effectively.
  • Knowledge of health club or gym operations is a plus for understanding facility safety standards and equipment use.
  • Familiarity with sports coaching techniques that promote skill development while ensuring participant safety through proper behavior management strategies.
  • Certifications in martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), swimming instruction, or child development are advantageous.
  • Ability to motivate young athletes through energetic coaching styles that emphasize fun, discipline, and personal growth.
