Agile Project Manager - IT Infrastructure and Business Change Projects

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agile Project Manager to lead and deliver IT infrastructure and business change projects across various sites in Nottingham. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within an Agile framework, an understanding of IT infrastructure, and the ability to drive business process improvements through effective change management. This role requires exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end project management activities for IT infrastructure and business change projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
2. Agile Methodology: Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) to manage project scope, schedule, and resources effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project teams.
3. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and business partners. Communicate project status, issues, and risks clearly and transparently.
4. Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget estimation. Regularly review and adjust plans based on changing priorities and requirements.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues to prevent project delays and disruptions.
6. Team Collaboration: Build and lead cross-functional project teams. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
7. Change Management: Drive the implementation of business process changes alongside technical solutions. Work closely with change management specialists to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
8. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Implement testing and validation procedures to verify successful implementation.
9. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, requirements, design documents, and other project-related artifacts.
10. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and support to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent.
- Proven experience (2 plus years) as an Agile Project Manager delivering IT infrastructure and business change projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, networking, and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse project teams, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts.
- Experience with change management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements.
- Prior experience working on projects in Nottingham or similar locations is a plus.
