Position Summary:

The Car Parts Retail Store Assistant will be responsible for assisting customers in finding the right automotive parts and accessories, maintaining store inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized retail environment. This role requires excellent customer service skills, knowledge of car parts, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Assistance: Greet customers, identify their needs, and provide expert advice on automotive parts and accessories.
  • Sales: Assist customers with purchases, process transactions, and provide accurate product information.
  • Inventory Management: Stock shelves, organize products, and ensure inventory levels are maintained.
  • Merchandising: Set up displays, ensure products are properly labelled, and maintain a visually appealing store layout.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest automotive products and trends to provide knowledgeable assistance to customers.
  • Order Fulfillment: Handle special orders and ensure timely delivery or pickup for customers.
  • Cash Handling: Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in retail, automotive parts, or customer service is a mandatory requirement.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with retail POS systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
