THE OPPORTUNITY – MECHANICAL LEAD TECHNICIAN
The Lead Mechanical Technician acts as the onshore discipline technical expert supporting the Mechanical Team Lead to ensure safe and cost-effective maintenance and responsive breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role you will be accountable for:
- Ensuring the day-to-day operation of maintenance/production activities. This role has significant input into the development of work scopes within the area and ensures that expenditure is controlled according to budget, liaising with Mechanical Team Lead to ensure that all activities are undertaken in a coordinated and effective manner
- Acting as an interface with Aberdeen office and offshore on technical issues and coordinating the services of technical specialists, service contractors and vendor personnel to effectively maintain facilities whilst minimising support costs
- The preparation of work activities for a team of technicians in line with the terminal planning and control of work processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the execution of such work as directed by the Mechanical team leader.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge of production/maintenance operations gained through experience of working in the oil and gas industry
- You should have team leader skills, underpinned by supervisory experience
Training to include:
- CompEx 11 Mechanical Competence ATEX
- MJI10 Stage 1 Initial Training – Hand Torque Bolted Connections
- MJI19 Stage 1 training– Dismantle, Assemble and hydraulically torque flanged joints
- SBT01 Stage 1 - Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies – Twin Ferrule
- SBT02- Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies – Cone and Threaded Medium and High Pressure (Nominated persons only)
- All Spirit Energy mandatory training as requested, including Compliance training usually provided annually.
