EARLY YEARS CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER – LEVEL 3 @ Ready Teddy Go SIGNHILLS

1 x PERMANENT FULL TIME **TERM TIME ONLY** position (Wages paid on a pro-rata basis)

40 Hours

We are delighted to be opening a second Nursery based at Signhills School.

Are you an experienced enthusiastic staff member who is dedicated to caring and providing excellent learning opportunities within our Nursery? We are looking for someone with strong experience in childcare for children aged 2-5 years

The suitable candidate should possess the ability to plan, deliver exciting learning experiences based on children's individual interests, observe, assess the key children in your allocated key group.

Passionate and nurturing about the job whilst showing enthusiasm and motivation

Ability to communicate effectively with both the children and their families

Ready Teddy Go is committed to a high level of training, supervision, peer coaching and have a robust training and development plan in place for all members of staff.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • LEVEL 3 - Child Care Qualification – ESSENTIAL & FULL & RELEVANT

  • Paediatric First Aid - ESSENTIAL or to be completed within three months of start date

  • Safeguarding - Desirable

-SEND Training- Desirable

  • WORK EXPERIENCE

1+Years RECENT experience working in paid employment in a Nursery environment - Within the last 5 years

2-5 yrs age group – Desirable but not Essential

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • 40 Hours Contract plus extra hours when/if required- Term timely

  • Working with children aged 2-5yrs

  • Carrying out observations and assessments in line with EYFS

  • Informed of and actively contribute to the achievement of the Ready Teddy Go standards in line with OFSTED guidelines & producing the nursery's policies, achieved within their base room.

  • Informed of and actively contributes to the achievement of Ready Teddy Go standards for the education & development in line with requirements of The Early years Foundation Stage and OFSTED Welfare Requirements, through planning for children's individual observing and reviewing/ reflecting on children's progress, using the EYFS. Autonomy to plan activities and outings for Key Children.

*Parent/family relationships

*Preparation of Key Children's Developmental Assessments

*Up to date training with current legislation and policy

*Inform persons required on a need to know basis/ confidentiality

*Update child's file accordingly

*Ensure information is confidential within filing cabinet.
