Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

  • Assist the GM in overseeing daily operations
  • Supervise and motivate staff, including servers and kitchen personnel, fostering a positive team environment
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
  • Assist with training staff on serving techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation across all areas of the establishment
  • Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Support promotional activities and contribute ideas for enhancing pub/restaurant offerings

Skills

  • Proven experience in bar management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings
  • Strong knowledge of drink preparation, bar techniques, and hospitality practices
  • Experience in supervising teams and managing staff schedules effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and staff development
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
  • Familiarity with serving protocols and hospitality industry standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 35 per week
