About Phoenix Pet Cremations

Phoenix Pet Cremations is growing and seeking a dedicated, reliable, and compassionate individual to join our team. We offer bespoke pet cremation services and take great pride in providing a professional, empathetic, and supportive experience for our clients during emotionally difficult times.

Position Overview

You will be a key representative of our service, collecting and transporting beloved pets with care and respect. The role is self-employed and includes a structured service level agreement (SLA) to ensure consistency and professionalism.

Shift Pattern

  • Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off (rotating pattern)
  • Shifts:
  • Early: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Late: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Availability to work any day, Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport pets from homes and veterinary practices to our cremation facilities
  • Operate within a 90-mile radius of London
  • Use our bespoke software to manage collections, view schedules, and navigate routes
  • Provide compassionate, respectful customer service at all times
  • Recognize and adapt to emotional cues from grieving pet owners
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
  • Follow traffic laws and route schedules
  • Support team by covering additional shifts during holidays and peak times

What We're Looking For

  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills
  • High levels of compassion, empathy, and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedure
  • Comfortable using bespoke systems (training provided)
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Previous experience in a similar role (driving or customer-facing) is a plus, but not required
  • Flexibility to take on overtime when needed
