Job Summary

We're seeking a full-time 
Management Accountant
 to join our friendly head office team in 
Newark-on-Trent
.

You will be required to report to our 
Finance Director
 and be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, managing invoicing, payments, cash collections, and balance sheet reconciliations. This is a great opportunity to use your financial and accounting software expertise in a supportive, growth-focused organisation. You'll also work closely with the Payroll Manager and provide cover when required.

Responsibilities

Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to agreed deadlines and Year-end Accounts

Liaison with Auditors for Year-end Audit.

Assisting with the preparation of monthly forecasts and of the Annual Budget

Preparation and reporting of weekly customer invoices and payment applications.

Checking and payment of all supplier invoices.

Completion of monthly bank reconciliations.

Posting of all prepayments, accruals and all nominal ledger journals.

Management of invoice financing facility and reporting of cash balances.

Checking and payment of employee expenses.

Management and reporting of customer credit limits and debtor balances.

Development of Accounting Systems.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of AAT qualification or equivalent
    OR
    currently studying for a professional qualification (eg, ACCA, CIMA).

Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in accountancy roles.
  • Excellent IT skills with a high level of knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience of Sage Accounts.
  • Strong numeracy and data management skills.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Good self-organisation and attention to detail.
