Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they're likely to die from.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.

Job Description
We're looking for an As and When Chef to join our team in Cardiff and the Vale Hospice.

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Chef to join the Facilities team at the Marie Curie Hospice. This role is central to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors, while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and a caring service environment.

Salary:
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 3 (aligned with AFC) £ £13.80 per hour, plus enhancements

What we are looking for:

• Excellent cooking skills and the ability to plan and prepare varied menus.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a caring and flexible approach.
• Experience in catering and supervising staff, ideally within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Production and Cooking.
