A global pharmaceutical company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cellular Imaging & Dynamics Imaging Scientist to join its research team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role suited to a senior scientist or investigator-level professional with a strong background in advanced imaging and cell biology.
Role Overview
You will play a pivotal role in advancing research across multiple therapeutic areas, using cutting-edge imaging techniques to address complex scientific questions. The focus is on advanced imaging rather than high-content imaging, with particular emphasis on super resolution methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform super resolution imaging using techniques such as STORM, SIM, and DNA-PAINT.
- Operate specialized instruments including ONI and Abbelight microscopes, as well as confocal and lattice light sheet microscopy.
- Maintain healthy cell cultures, troubleshoot lab issues, and develop custom cell-based assays tailored to project needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support experimental design, data analysis, and integration of imaging insights.
- Contribute to the development of bespoke assays and experimental workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in cell biology and live-cell imaging.
- Proficiency in super resolution imaging techniques and microscopy platforms.
- Experience in designing and optimizing custom assays.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
- Ph.D. in Biophysics, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- A track record of publications or significant contributions in imaging and cell biology is advantageous.
