Job Description
More than a summer internship. This is where your future begins.
Auditors are investigators, problem-solvers, and trusted advisers. They dive deep into how businesses operate, ensuring the numbers tell the real story and helping organisations stay on track. Think of it as a backstage pass to the business world - where you don't just observe, you make a difference.
At Grant Thornton, we're looking for curious, purposefully driven and candid but kind individuals who want to shape the future of business - not follow it.
Our
six-week audit summer internship
is your launchpad to a meaningful career with a chance to secure a permanent graduate job, a professional qualification, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
The internship programme will run for
six weeks between 29 June – 7 August 2026
. You must be available for the full duration of the internship.
What you'll do
Kickstart your career with a six-week internship that goes beyond the ordinary, with real projects, cutting-edge digital tools, and structured learning designed to make you stand out.
This isn't just practical experience – it's the kind that shapes your future.
Your internship kicks off with an action-packed launch conference – an enthusiastic start that connects you with industry leaders, ambitious peers, and opportunities that set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Here is a glimpse of what you will get up to during your time with us:
- Gain real-world audit experience: Work on live projects, visit client sites, and use digital tools to uncover insights that drive real outcomes.
- Get hands-on learning: Complete real training modules and interactive professional skills workshops across technical and soft skills, supported by feedback to boost your confidence and capability.
- Be part of a real team: Collaborate on a national group project that ends with a presentation to an expert panel – a chance to show off what you've discovered during your time with us.
- Build your network: Set yourself up for success by developing relationships with experts, peers and leaders across the firm – plus, making valuable connections with the wider intern cohort that last beyond the programme.
This is a
paid internship,
so you'll be fully supported by us while you focus on fully immersing yourself in our culture. And if you perform well during the six-week programme, you could
secure a graduate role with us
before you begin your final year of study – starting your career already one step ahead.
Who we're looking for
We take an adaptable approach to academic entry requirements and consider these alongside your strengths and motivations. We're looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas, and go beyond expectations.
- Curious minds who explore ideas and ask thoughtful questions.
- Innovative problem-solvers who think creatively, spot patterns, and turn data into meaningful insights.
- Collaborative partners who work respectfully and build trust with others.
- Effective communicators who listen, adapt, and express ideas clearly.
- Self-leaders who manage and flex their time, mindset, and enthusiasm effectively.
- Career-minded contributors who take initiative and are motivated to grow.
Join the firm that's shaping the accountants of the future.
We're growing fast, and we want you to grow with us. With digital-first innovation and an inclusive culture that powers progress, this is your chance to shape what's next.
