Location: New Hall School, The Avenue, Boreham, Chelmsford CM3 3HS

Rate of pay: £13.00pa

Hours: 40 hours per week (with occasional weekends and overtime paid or in lieu) 

Weeks: 35 weeks

New Hall School is a Catholic independent boarding and day School for girls and boys. With food at the heart of every pupil's development, we are looking to recruit an organised and experienced, Kitchen Assistant who has experience in both of these areas.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking full English breakfast for 220 students buffet style
• Preparing a salad bar with fresh salad item plus compound salads and protein item for 500 students. 
• Maintain high standards of  food hygiene and kitchen safety 
• Working efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment
• Supporting the kitchen with clean down

• It needs to be someone who is well organised and can think for themselves, that has experience in both of these areas . 
• Cleanliness and hygiene standards of a high level
• Ideally have experience working within Education catering
• Have a progressive career to date
• Be up to date with current food trends
• Have a real passion for food and customer service
