Swan Rider provide home to school transport for children with special educational needs on behalf of local authoritites. You will be provided with a suitable car or small minibus for new or existing home to school council contracts. You will be required to work part time Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons during term time only. Most routes start around 07.00am for morning journeys, however may be slightly earlier and the hours will be from 12-25hrs/week.

  • You will transport children or vulnerable adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
  • We will expect you to build fast positive and professional relationships with passengers, educational establishments and families.
  • To ensure the safety of clients and to actively ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are raised.
  • You must have sufficient command of spoken and written english.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence for minimum 18 months
  • You must be 25 years of age or above for vehicle insurance purposes.
  • DBS criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults.
  • You should have a friendly and positive attitude, enjoy working with children, be fit and reliable.
  • Ability to drive various types of vehicles.
  • Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided

  • You will then be provided training about the job and any other information related to the job will be provided.
  • Information will be provided on the route you will be working on and any risks explained. A test run of the route will also be done prior to commencing work.
  • If working on a new contract a meet & greet will be arranged for the crew to meet the clients prior to beginning the transport.
