Five Rivers Child Care is a Social Enterprise committed to transforming children's and young people's lives by reinvesting their surplus in children's futures.

We are recruiting Independent Panel Members to advise on Foster Carers for our Southwest Service.

You will be required to sit on the Panel and take responsibility, in collaboration with the other panel members, for making recommendations about applicants' suitability to foster and foster carers ongoing approval, drawing on both personal and professional knowledge and experience. You must consider and advise on policy and procedural matters to address diversity issues and promote anti-discriminatory practice.

We seek someone who will always think of the child, ensuring they are at the forefront of all decisions. Must be able to work as a team member to achieve the best outcomes for the children. Experience of working in the fostering sector and with children/young people would be an advantage but optional. No formal social work qualifications are necessary but understanding and empathy for the work required are essential.
