The Opportunity

This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at our UK Research and Development Centre in #Hove. You'll join our Digital Innovation team, working on cutting-edge technologies that improve the lives of our colleagues and customers.

You'll explore areas such as AI, blockchain, chatbots and mixed reality. You'll contribute to cross-platform app development, build prototypes and collaborate with international teams to find new solutions to real-world challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

During your Digital Innovation Industrial Placement, you'll support the development and delivery of research projects across EDF. Past students have worked with the team to design new tools, improve existing technologies and contribute to sustainable energy innovation.

You'll gain experience across the full development cycle, build advanced programming skills and work with experts from EDF UK and EDF R&D in France. This placement offers a unique opportunity to grow your technical and creative capabilities in a collaborative environment.

Your Work Location

This placement is based at our EDF R&D Centre in #Hove, with the option to work from home on a hybrid basis where appropriate and in line with your placement and work commitments.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, user experience, data science / machine learning, app development or a related subject.
