Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
  • Help clients with mobility and physical activities as required.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all clients.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
