Contract: Full-time, PAYE, Permanent

About Swash

Swash Cleaning Ltd is a fast-growing professional window cleaning company expanding across Essex. We're building a friendly, high-performing team of door-to-door field reps who represent our brand, build trust with local residents, and sign up new regular customers.

You'll be the face of Swash in your local area — friendly, confident, and reliable. You'll talk with homeowners, explain our professional cleaning service, and help them get started quickly via our digital signup process.

The Role

  • Knock on residential doors in your assigned area
  • Present Swash Cleaning's window cleaning service (no pressure sales)
  • Use our simple digital signup form on your phone
  • Log every street and lead daily
  • Work independently after full training
  • Represent Swash professionally in branded uniform

Pay & Commission

Base Pay: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)

Commission: 25–40% of each customer's standard monthly value (£25)

Example: £25 signup = £6.25–£10.00 commission (depending on performance)

Earnings: £3,000–£3,900/month realistic on-target earnings (Equivalent to £36,000–£46,800 per year depending on performance)

Paid monthly in arrears (base pay and commission included in the same payment)

Performance Targets

Minimum: Maintain an average of 4 verified new customer signups per working day throughout employment.

(Verified = customer signed up via GoCardless and had their first clean completed, or prepaid 3 cleans (£75) and had their first clean completed.)

Performance is reviewed every two weeks during the 8-week probation period, and monthly thereafter.

Failure to maintain this standard may result in a formal review or termination if performance does not improve.

Consistent performers achieving 5–7 signups per day qualify for enhanced commission rates, while those averaging 8+ per day may earn top-tier commission and leadership progression opportunities.

Commission & Incentives

Base commission is 25% per verified sale (£6.25 per new customer).

High performance is rewarded through tiered commission rates, reviewed monthly:

  • 5–7 signups/day: 30–35% commission
  • 8+ signups/day: up to 40% commission plus eligibility for team leader or area manager progression.

All commission is paid monthly in arrears with your base pay and is subject to verification of completed customer signups.

Uniform & Equipment

  • Provided: Swash-branded polo shirt, coat, and umbrella
  • Required: Your own black trousers and suitable black footwear
  • Must be presentable, clean, and professional at all times

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Self-motivated, confident, and results-driven
  • Physically fit enough to walk and knock 200–300+ doors per day
  • Able to log and plan your own prospecting areas (training provided)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Training & Support

  • One-week paid training (shadowing, live practice, and onboarding)
  • Weekly check-ins and performance reviews
  • Monthly team meetings for updates and incentives

Hours

  • 40 hours per week, flexible scheduling

(Typical shifts: 10am–6:30pm or 11am–7:30pm, 30-minute break)

  • Work any 5 days Monday–Sunday

All customer data must be handled in line with GDPR. Staff must not share company or client information during or after employment. A 6-month UK-wide non-compete clause applies post-employment to protect clients and brand integrity.
