Derby's premier gastro pub and award winning cask ale emporium is looking for experienced, confident and reliable staff.

The main purpose of this job is to ensure our guests receive the highest quality of customer service at all times and to assist the daily operational running of the bar and cellar.

You MUST have some experience in rotating and changing barrels of cask and keg beers.

· Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety.

· Ensure high values and efficiency of work.

. Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for our customers.

· Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks.

. Undergo preparation of fresh cobs and sandwiches each morning.

· Assessing customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations.

· Use initiative to ensure jobs are done and areas checked at quiet times.

. Mix drinks and serve them correctly plus prepare cocktails and shots.

. You must be outgoing, bubbly, confident and have some basic knowledge of cask and keg beers.

Unreliable, impolite and introvert people need not apply.

You MUST have experience of the hospitality industry, pub, bar or nightclub.

Applicants must be over 19.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Take drink orders and serve beverages to customers

- Prepare and serve food items from the bar top fridge

- Use basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide accurate change

- Upsell menu items and promote doubles and our snacks to increase sales

- Provide excellent guest service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

· Experience in a bar or pub setting is necessary.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Have basic food hygiene qualification.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in at times a fast-paced environment.

Hourly rate is based on experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
