The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that's dedicated to the nuclear industry. We are looking for a Workforce Planning Advisor to ensure accuracy of our people data within the Business & People Support System (BPSS). The Advisor will support the Workforce Planning Officer to ensure all people spreadsheets and databases are maintained, and provide accurate people data – in order to predict future workforce requirements. Accurate data is mission critical when providing workforce forecasts.

Some of your responsibilities in this role will also include:

  • Owning and managing the accuracy of people positions within BPSS and all associated people spreadsheets and databases maintained within the Workforce Planning function.

  • To support restructures and ensure the appropriate posts are established/disestablished within BPSS and all associated people spreadsheets and databases maintained within the Workforce Planning function.

  • Maintain all organisational charts ensuring they accurately reflect the structures held within BPSS and all associated people spreadsheets and databases maintained within the Workforce Planning function.

  • To ensure that all service requests involving people movement, such as new recruits, transfers, promotions, level transfers etc are entered into BPSS and all associated people spreadsheets and databases maintained within the Workforce Planning function.

  • To act as the first point of contact for all Workforce Planning service requests and ensure timely responses/action.

  • Continually challenge, develop and test the data in the systems to enable effective workforce planning data collation and dissemination.

  • Adhering to Governance, observing good practice, ensuring appropriate records are accurately maintained.

  • Identify and ensure robust governance is in place to ensure the effective management of posts and then publish quarterly reports on both establishment and strength

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:

Essential

  • Background in Workforce planning/Data Analysis/Statistics

  • Excellent MS Excel skills

  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Able to demonstrate a customer focussed approach

  • Able to determine priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of workforce planning

  • Experience of resource planning

  • CIPD Qualified or willingness to work towards

  • Previous experience of using Oracle HCM or similar HR systems

  • Experience of ERP data maintenance

  • MS PowerPoint skills

  • Power BI skills
