Take the next step in your career as a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse at Medivet Evegate – where small animal care meets exotic expertise in the heart of the Kent countryside.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us as a Head RVN at our thriving Medivet Evegate practice – a truly unique clinic that combines the variety of first-opinion small animal work with the excitement of caring for a broad range of exotic species.
As a key leader within the team, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Whether it's a loyal Labrador, a curious cockatiel, or a bearded dragon, every day brings something new – making this an exciting and rewarding place to develop your nursing career.
Located in a peaceful, picturesque area of Kent, Evegate offers the perfect balance between professional fulfilment and a relaxed rural lifestyle. Enjoy scenic countryside walks, local artisan markets, and easy access to Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, and even London, thanks to strong transport links.
At Evegate, you'll benefit from a supportive and friendly team environment, working alongside experienced vets and certificate holders. The practice sees a diverse caseload that includes both small animals and exotic species, giving you the opportunity to broaden your clinical experience while working in a modern, well-equipped setting. We're committed to personal and professional development and will support you in continuing to grow your skills and leadership potential.
Given our practice's focus, previous experience with exotic species—such as reptiles, birds, and small furries—is highly desirable, though full training can be provided. You'll also have the unique opportunity to support two small local zoos, offering truly varied and rewarding case exposure.
We're looking for someone who is , experienced in small animal practice as well as with some extoics expereinces as this is essential, and confident in leading a team. You'll be proactive, organised, and passionate about high standards of care, with strong communication and teamwork skills. If you have experience with exotics, or a keen interest in developing it,this is the perfect environment to build on that knowledge, though exotic experience is desirable, not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a progressive, well-supported practice where your ideas, leadership, and compassion will be genuinely valued.
