The Survey department in DeepOcean is expanding the team and looking for a team-oriented and experiences Commercial Surveyor with a can-do attitude who wants to join a fast-paced, professional and collaborative environment

DeepOcean provides a wide range of survey and subsea services across the offshore energy and ocean industries. As we continue to deliver complex and exciting projects across our markets, we are looking to strengthen our Survey team in Aberdeen, UK, with a Senior Commercial Surveyor.

Working in the survey department, you will be at the hub of DeepOcean's operations, developing a strong understanding of our technical, commercial and contractual frameworks, while contributing to key business decisions and client negotiations across a range of subsea projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare proposals and method statements for pre-qualifications and tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company procedures.

Coordinate tender input from technical disciplines across the organisation.

Ensure commercial and technical submissions reflect project risk and company standards.

Identify differentiators, winning criteria and promote "outside the box" thinking to strengthen bid competitiveness and increase chance of winning the work.

Support subcontracting and cost estimation activities during tendering.

Prepare and present risk evaluations and contract reviews for management approval.

Engage in post-submission clarifications and contract negotiations with clients.

Liaise with Project Managers post-award to ensure smooth handover and identify growth opportunities.

Participate in business development and client engagement activities as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).

5-10 years' experience in tendering, project, or contract management within the Offshore Oil & Gas and/or Offshore Renewables sector.

Experience in survey operations and ideally exposure to inter-array cable lay and trenching projects.

Strong commercial expertise and contractual understanding.

Demonstrated ability to develop cost estimates, risk assessments, and high-quality tender documents.
