Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a hands-on Electrical Design & Assembly Engineer, located in Hereford. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as designing electrical systems, performing design engineering tasks, and ensuring proper power distribution. The engineer will also be responsible for assembling the range of communication products, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire Alpha 56 hardware products to production standards.
  • Design and integrate 12–24V DC electrical systems, looms, and connectors.
  • Produce and maintain wiring schematics and documentation.
  • Conduct functional and safety testing, ensuring build quality and compliance.
  • Support prototype builds and product development activities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical or electronic qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with 12–24V DC electrical design and assembly.
  • Skilled in crimping, soldering, and wiring to high standards.
  • Ability to read and produce wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
