ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Salary: £28k - £35k

We have a great opportunity to join our great client services team. The role will be to manage multiple accounts and projects and develop strong relationships with clients and team members. You will be responsible for managing the day to day running of projects and communications with key client accounts, reporting to senior members of Purechannels.

Whilst the role is essentially remote, we do have an office in the village of Battle (Hastings), for those that live near to that area. With a number of the team working there once or twice a week.

Role

  • To develop a strong relationship with clients.
  • Understand and develop knowledge of the Client's company including the client's objectives – in general and for each project you are involved in.
  • Manage and execute client's projects/campaigns and ensure that all stakeholders (internal and third suppliers) understand the projects' key objectives.
  • Understand the importance of content in driving meaningful engagement.
  • Be a consistent, often first point of contact with clients to manage their projects and their expectations.
  • Ensure communications with clients are clear and timely.
  • Support the Account Director on the running of all client projects.
  • Execute and deliver day to day activity to ensure all client wishes are responded to and expectations are understood, managed and met.
  • Manage and support the extended team during a project to ensure efficient delivery of the project/campaign and within the budget and on in line with agreed time plans.
  • Write clear, comprehensive briefs and produce plans and presentations taking into account the client's objectives/strategies.
  • Be aware of the financial status on the account at all times, and how to access it.
  • Support the AD & Ops Assistant to develop campaign cost estimates in a timely manner.
  • Ensure optimal levels of attention to detail in all client work, from brief taking and proposal writing through every stage of the project to final output delivery and campaign execution.
  • Continually develop knowledge of SEO, paid search, social media, website design/usability and other relevant marketing channels available to Purechannels as a service provider.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers and negotiate rates taking into account any budgets available – from Purechannels and clients.
  • Ensure you have a good understanding of Purechannels and its
    products and services in order to successfully promote these to customers.

Otherwise as a successful AM you will be required to

  • Become a knowledge expert within our clients' industries, knowing their business, their products and above all, their brand. An AM should know a client's brand properties as well as the client themselves.
  • Bring new ideas and fresh thinking to the company, your SAM/AD and contribute to discussions about client activity and development.
  • Identify areas for personal development and discuss these with your line manager.
  • Occasionally travel will be necessary to client offices. Either on your own or accompanying a senior member of Purechannels.
  • Be a part of and make valuable contribution to building Purechannels into a successful channel agency.
  • Keep the growing brand and reputation of Purechannels at the centre of everything you do whilst representing the company.

Other qualities we are looking for

  • Previous Account management experience
  • Agency experience desired but not essential
  • A sound understanding of b2b marketing
  • Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role
  • Willingness and ability to travel if required
