Salary:HC07 £32,061 - £36,363 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37
Location: Plough Lane, Hereford

Introduction
The Early Help family support team is seeking to appoint two dynamic family support workers. You will work directly with vulnerable children (aged 0-18) and their families to promote their welfare and development. You will be delivering targeted support in the home using a solution focussed approach to build supportive and empowering relationships with families and reduce the need for higher level support. We work in close partnership with other agencies and professionals across Herefordshire to provide and co-ordinate a package of support that will address all the family's needs.
The RoleYou will have experience of working with children and their families in a multi-agency environment and be skilled at engaging children, young people and families to deliver a wide range of interventions. We will provide you with regular supervision, training, the opportunity for progressive professional development and the chance to work with a well-established team dedicated and committed to achieving best outcomes for children in Herefordshire.
As an Early Help Family Support Worker you will be responsible for helping to improve outcomes for children and young people through direct work in family homes or from children's centres/community venues. Knowledge and experience of delivering targeted evidence-based services to families is desirable alongside the ability to encourage engagement and enhance children's development and early experiences. Within the role you will be responsible for assessing children's needs, working with their families and support network to achieve positive outcomes and sustained change.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a multiagency team environment as collaboration with colleagues and partner agencies is essential to the role. You will work within a team that covers the whole of Herefordshire, so the ability to drive and access to a car is key. Whilst you will have opportunities to work with other team members there will be times when lone working is required.
If you are excited by the prospect of working for a service that put the needs of children and families at the heart of everything we do, then we would really like to hear from you.
