Remuneration:

  • Base salary of c. £130,000.
  • Performance-related bonus of up to 50% of salary.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Bring in and service a substantial client following of their own
    ;
  • Assist with the management of the firm's existing non-contentious client base; and
  • Grow both (1) and (2) above through leveraging existing clients and the firm's brand and reputation.

Beyond your core legal work, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to firm-wide initiatives, including:

  • Contributing towards our recruitment strategy to attract top-tier talent.
  • Driving improvements to our infrastructure and IT systems (including the considered use of AI tools).
  • Identifying and exploring new practice areas or sectors for expansion.

Prospect Law Ltd (PLL) is a unique Multi-Disciplinary Practice which is ranked in the Legal 500 for its reputation in the renewable and nuclear energy sectors.

The firm has grown rapidly over the last 15 years, and there are three key fee-earning sides to the business:

  • Legal Services;
  • Risk Management; and
  • ESG Auditing.

We operate across a range of industries, advising major corporates, government bodies, regulators, and SMEs both in the UK and internationally.

The founding directors are lawyers (one solicitor, one barrister) and both are closely involved in all of the firm's practice areas. We are now looking to attract a high-calibre corporate and commercial solicitor to assist with the management and growth of the legal services side of the firm.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years PQE in corporate and commercial law.
  • Proven ability to attract, maintain, and grow a client following.
  • Strong track record of building relationships and delivering results.
  • Energy sector experience is an advantage but not essential.
