Niddrie Mill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced primary school teacher.
Niddrie Mill Primary School is a warm, inclusive and friendly place to work and learn. We have fourteen classes from P1-7. Niddrie Mill Primary School is organised into fourteen classes from P1-7. The school is led by a management team of a Head Teacher, a Depute Head Teacher, two Principal Teachers and a Business Manager.
The school is situated in an area of multiple socio-economic deprivation with most of the pupils residing in SIMD 1 and 2. The school has a strong collegiate ethos which promotes partnership working with parents, carers, partners and the wider community. Niddrie Mill Primary promotes a positive and nurturing learning culture, where we strive to ensure that all pupils feel valued, respected and are supported to reach their full potential. The school receives both Positive Action funding and Pupil Equity funding.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual who is committed to ensuring all pupils attain and reach their potential to join our team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent level of learning and teaching through Curriculum for Excellence with an understanding of closing the attainment gap, as well as a sound knowledge of strategies to support learners with additional support needs.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
