We're looking for two new Materials Planner to join our expanding team in, Spalding, UK.

As Material Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials and packaging are available to meet production demand efficiently and cost-effectively. This would suit someone with experience who wants the opportunity to make the role their own and be part of the transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage material and packaging orders, maintaining accurate forecasts and stock levels.
  • Ensure materials are called off in time to meet operational requirements
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and availability
  • Monitor production plans daily, analysing plan vs actual performance and driving schedule adherence. Ensuring fluctuations is volumes are managed without impacting performance
  • Support new product launches and promotions by forecasting material requirements and minimising waste.
  • Maintain master data and trackers to support clear communication across departments.
  • Ensure stock reconciliation is correct to drive accurate data
  • Manage all delists, excess and obsolete packaging to minimise waste and write off costs.
  • Represent Supply Chain in meetings and contribute to site-wide improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills (educated to GCSE / A-Level or equivalent).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., D365), and stock control processes.
  • Ability to work proactively to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of GSCOP, traceability, and audit compliance requirements.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability for forecasting and stock reconciliations.
  • Previous experience managing suppliers, stock control, and resolving queries.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and determination to deliver results.
  • Full Driving licence and method of travel as travel between the Spalding sites will be required.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and confident in managing competing priorities.
