Job Description:
The DXC Technology Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, delivering high-impact projects on time and within budget, and aligning project outcomes with strategic business goals.
This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and advanced organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and navigate complex environments.
Location: Erskine, Newcastle or Farnborough
The Roles Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end project management across the full lifecycle—from initiation through to closure.
· Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and communication strategies.
· Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure seamless project execution.
· Monitor and report on project progress, using appropriate tools and metrics to ensure transparency and accountability.
· Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
· Maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and stakeholder accessibility.
· Communicate regularly with senior leadership, stakeholders, and sponsors, providing status updates, escalations, and strategic guidance.
· Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of project outcomes.
· Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies, tools, and templates.
· Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of project management capabilities within the organisation.
Desirable Skills:
- 3+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record in delivering medium-to-large scale projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK).
- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and working with executive leadership.
- Strong budget, resource, and risk management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) are a plus.
Due to the customer requirements successful applicants must be eligible for high level UK Security clearance.
