Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team at The Waterside Bistro in Totnes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring a pleasant environment for both staff and customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties in designated areas, including restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
  • Ensure all surfaces are cleaned, dusted, and sanitised according to established protocols.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude towards work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required based on operational needs.
  • DBS Checks will be required.
