We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator/Head of Estimating to lead our estimating function and drive strategic growth.

The Role

As the Senior Estimator / Head of Estimating, you will be responsible for overseeing all estimating activities across the business, ensuring accurate, competitive, and profitable tenders. You'll lead a team of estimators, collaborate with project managers and commercial teams, and play a key role in shaping our bidding strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the estimating department, mentoring junior estimators
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of construction/shop fitout projects
  • Analyse tender documents and identify risks and opportunities
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details
  • Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, and best practices
  • Present estimates to senior leadership and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies

  • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in construction or shopfitting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
